Uluslararası uzay istasyonu tesisatçı arıyor!
Ekipten bir kişi rus yapımı tuvaleti kullanırken sistemin bozulması üzerine koca uzay istasyonunda mürettebatın dibine işeyecek bir ağacı bile yok. Gelen bilgilere göre arızanın ardınan soyuz modülündeki geçici tuvalet kutusunu kullanan ekip, kapasitesi küçük olan bu ünitenin dolması ardından ne yapacağını bilemez hale kaldı. Acil durumlar için tahsis edilmiş yedek idrar kutular vasıtasıyla dönüşümlü olarak işini gören ekip cumartesi fırlatılacak ve pazartesi günü istasyona kenetlenecek olan Discovery mekiği kargosunda NASA’nın bir adet VitrA tuvalet yahut uzay yürüyüşü eğitimli bir tesisatçı yollamasını umut ediyor.
Bu arada dip not olarak, cumartesi günü yollanacak olan Discovery uzay mekiğinin kargo bölmesinde japon yapımı laboratuar malzemeleri bulunuyor. Ancak inanılmaz derecede büyük olan bu laboratuar modülünü kargo mahalline yerleştirebilmek için OBBS sisteminin bile çıkarılması gerekti.

The international space station’s lone toilet is broken, leaving the crew with almost nowhere to go. So NASA may order an in-orbit plumbing service call when space shuttle Discovery visits next week.
Until then, the three-man crew will have to make do with a jury-rigged system when they need to urinate.
While one of the crew was using the Russian-made toilet last week, the toilet motor fan stopped working, according to NASA. Since then, the liquid waste gathering part of the toilet has been working on-and-off.
Fortunately, the solid waste collecting part is functioning normally.
Russian officials don’t know the cause of the problem, and the crew has been unable to fix it.
The crew has used the toilet on the Soyuz return capsule, but it has a limited capacity. They now are using a backup bag-like collection system that can be connected to the broken toilet, according to NASA public affairs officials.
